L’ammodernamento dell’Agrigento – Palermo: l’Anas ha inaugurato 8 chilometri di nuova carreggiata lungo la strada statale 121. I dettagli.L’Anas ha tagliato il nastro: adesso sono transitabili 8 chilometri di nuova carreggiata lungo la strada statale 121 Agrigento – Palermo, in direzione Palermo. L’opera, che ricade interamente nel territorio del Comune di Vicari, è compresa nell’ambito dei lavori per l’ammodernamento della Palermo – Agrigento e, in particolare, del tratto Palermo – Lercara Friddi, a doppia carreggiata, tra i chilometri 205 e 213. Alla cerimonia di inaugurazione ha partecipato tra gli altri l’assessore regionale alle Infrastrutture, Alessandro Aricò, che ha compiuto un sopralluogo tecnico accompagnato dal direttore dell’Anas Sicilia, Raffaele Celia, e dai sindaci del comprensorio. Più nel dettaglio tecnico, gli 8 chilometri rientrano tra gli svincoli di Bolognetta e di Manganaro. L’investimento complessivo per ammodernare i 34 chilometri della 121 è di 375 milioni di euro. La consegna dei lavori, avvenuta in più fasi, è stata definitivamente perfezionata il 27 febbraio del 2014. Sono trascorsi 10 anni? E l’Anas spiega perché: “Perché, a causa di una grave crisi finanziaria del socio di maggioranza della società di progetto, dal mese di giugno 2018 si è constatato un progressivo rallentamento delle attività operative su tutta l’opera, fino al sostanziale fermo generalizzato del cantiere. Dal 2012 sono state riavviate le attività di cantiere che hanno consentito il completamento e l’apertura al transito di nuove parti di tracciato stradale ammodernato, nonché l’eliminazione dei tratti in regime di senso unico alternato, alleggerendo in tal modo i flussi di traffico nella zona. Entro la fine del 2024 l’asse stradale del tratto in ammodernamento, lungo 34 chilometri, sarà posto in esercizio nella sua configurazione di progetto. I rimanenti lavori di rifinitura non avranno ripercussioni sulla viabilità”.
