“Deturpamento Scala dei Turchi”: perizia psichiatrica su Quaranta

Al Tribunale di Agrigento il giudice Andrea Terranova, accogliendo le istanze del difensore, l’avvocato Antonella Carlino, ha disposto l’esecuzione di una perizia psichiatrica su Domenico Quaranta, 51 anni, di Favara, imputato nell’ambito dell’inchiesta sul danneggiamento della Scala dei Turchi, a Realmonte, imbrattata con della sostanza chimica, ossido di zinco, di colore rosso, tra il 6 e il 7 gennaio del 2022. Imputato con Quaranta è anche Francesco Geraci, 48 anni, anche lui di Favara, difeso dall’avvocato Salvatore Cusumano. Gli si contesta il reato di deturpamento. Secondo quanto emerso dalle indagini dei Carabinieri, Quaranta avrebbe imbrattato materialmente la marna bianca, e Geraci sarebbe stato da “palo” e l’autista del furgone Ford Transit utilizzato per la trasferta a Realmonte. A Domenico Quaranta, già alla ribalta nazionale per gli attentati alla Valle dei Templi e alla metropolitana di Milano nel 2002, si contestano anche altri episodi dello stesso genere: si tratta dell’incendio al portone di ingresso del Municipio di Favara il 12 dicembre del 2020, le scritte e disegni il 22 dicembre del 2020 fra muretto e ingresso della Casa natale di Luigi Pirandello in contrada Kaos ad Agrigento, la distruzione dei vasi di ceramica il primo gennaio del 2021 lungo il Viale delle Dune a San Leone, il danneggiamento con vernice rossa sulla marna di “Punta Bianca” il primo agosto del 2021, e poi le scritte sul muro di cinta del carcere “Pasquale Di Lorenzo” in contrada “Petrusa”, e il danneggiamento di un portone di ingresso della sede distaccata del Comune di Favara. Ad eseguire la perizia sarà la psicoterapeuta Irene Grado che giurerà in aula il 28 ottobre.
