Crisi idrica: schierate le autobotti della Forestale

La Protezione civile regionale schiera 20 autobotti della Forestale in tutte le province dell’isola, a rimedio delle carenze più gravi. Gli interventi di Schifani e Savarino.

In Sicilia 20 autobotti della Forestale, anziché per domare gli incendi, saranno utilizzate per rifornire d’acqua le zone maggiormente attanagliate dalla crisi idrica. Così ha escogitato la Protezione civile regionale per rimediare alle più gravi necessità di famiglie, aziende agricole e zootecniche. E il presidente della Regione, Renato Schifani, spiega: “Ho chiesto a tutti i componenti del governo e a tutti i dipartimenti regionali ogni sforzo per assicurare la fornitura di acqua ove necessaria. Come fatto in questa occasione, è necessario il massimo coordinamento e la collaborazione tra le strutture regionali per accrescere l’operatività dei mezzi di cui disponiamo e dare risposte concrete e celeri a cittadini e imprese”. E l’assessore regionale a Territorio e Ambiente, Giusi Savarino, aggiunge: “Ho immaginato che in questo momento particolare ognuno dovesse fare la propria parte. In accordo con il presidente Schifani e con i dirigenti del Corpo forestale, Beppe Battaglia, e della Protezione civile regionale, Salvo Cocina, abbiamo individuato un numero di autobotti da potere destinare anche alla distribuzione di acqua non idonea a usi potabili in tutte le province siciliane. Si tratta di una buona prassi che consente di ottimizzare l’uso dei mezzi e supportare chi è in difficoltà. Voglio ringraziare gli uomini del Corpo forestale che, impegnati in questo periodo nella lotta agli incendi, hanno assicurato la loro disponibilità anche in questa attività” – conclude. Le autobotti, da 8.000 fino a 10.000 litri ciascuna, saranno posizionate nelle nove province, così: Castelvetrano (provincia di Trapani), Enna, poi Buccheri e Noto (provincia di Siracusa), Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (provincia di Messina), Caltanissetta e Mazzarino e Niscemi nel Nisseno, poi Chiaramonte Gulfi (provincia di Ragusa), Randazzo, Maniace e Castiglione di Sicilia (provincia di Catania), poi Carini, Giuliana, Cefalù e Ficuzza/Godrano (provincia di Palermo), e nel distaccamento di Cammarata dell’autoparco di Agrigento.
